     Profile
Over the course of my career I have gained exposure to many aspects of turfgrass maintenance in the both the high-end and daily-fee worlds of golf. This diverse experience provides me with an ability to deliver results in an efficient and successful manner with virtually any budget.
Before my current position at Cape May National, I worked as an Assistant Superintendent at very reputable clubs such as Blind Brook Club, The Hartford Golf Club, Nantucket Golf Club and Huntingdon Valley Country Club. The four mentors I had at these clubs all had different turf philosophies and I have taken the positives from each and created my own principles and programs with much success at Cape May National. With such a small budget to work with here, maximizing every resource is important. We have made dramatic improvements to the course by monitoring and adapting to constantly changing weather patterns. I have been able to reduce water use from 44 million gallons per year to only 15 million. This has led to reduced need for chemicals and fertilizers, freeing up funds to create more consistent and stellar playing conditions. Since implementing my programs, the course has received many accolades from local press and we have received significant positive reviews on sites such as golfnow.com by actual patrons.
I am thankful to be out on the course each day and have honed my agronomic and management skills in golf maintenance to a level where I can provide my club great conditions within budgetary limits on a consistent basis.
